Thomas rhett Ringed in the New Year with thousands of country music fans at the Xcel Energy Center in Minneapolis, and he took a few of his friends to the Twin Cities with him.

Joined by his friends and fellow artists Cole swindell and Conner smith, the country superstar performed a cover of an iconic Garth Brooks hit on Friday, December 31 in Minnesota.

After Rhett and Swindell’s performance of “Beer Can’t Fix”, a duo that originally included Jon Pardi, Rhett began singing the Brooks hit “Friends In Low Places”.

After performing the opening lines of the song, Rhett greeted Smith on stage and the three hitmakers led a roaring song with the large crowd to sing the fan favorite anthem.

Thank you for loving and supporting me and my family for so long. Happy New Year everyone. God protects you!”
