Tank & the Bangas Covers ‘She’s a Rainbow’ for ‘Ghostwriter’: Listen – Billboard
Season 3 of the modern reimagining of ghost writer hits Apple TV+ on Friday, and for the series, Tank and the Bangas delivered a scintillating cover of the 1967 Rolling Stones hit “She’s a Rainbow.”
“It was pretty amazing to recreate this classic with the people I love,” Tarriona “Tank” Ball shared with Billboard in an exclusive press release. “We hope our release brings you closer to seeing what the story is about and taking you on a journey you’ll never forget.”
ghost writer is a new version of the hit early 90s series of the same name from Sesame Workshop. The all-new Season 3 – the trailer of which you can watch here – will feature an all-new cast and a special literary adventure. The season follows a group of friends who work to solve the mystery surrounding the unfinished business of a ghost that haunts a bookstore and releases fictional characters into the real world. While tackling the big mystery, the young heroes embark on six fun and quirky adventures with characters inspired by the story of L. Frank Baum The Wonderful Wizard of Ozby the author Pablo Cartaya Leo! El Magnifico; Beverly Cleary’s Novel The mouse and the motorcycle; EB White’s Charlotte’s web; The Story of Jewell Parker Rhodes magic bayou; and, of course, “She’s a Rainbow” – which spotlights the character of Rainbow, played by Sydney Kuhne.
The psychedelic track, written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richard of the Stones, originally appeared on the band’s 1967 album. Request from Their Satanic Majesties. The song peaked at number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 all-genre chart dated January 27, 1968.
