Spunout Northampton unveil lineup for Record Store Day 2022


A Northampton record store has unveiled its plans to celebrate Record Store Day 2022.

The owner of Spunout in Gold Street says they are working hard to ‘make it a big one for Northampton’.

He said: “This international celebration of the local independent record store and its invaluable contribution to the uniqueness of most cities will be held on Saturday April 23 and we will open at 8am to make the most of this brilliant day.

“Many of the biggest names in the music industry such as Foo Fighters, The Who, Stevie Nicks and Noel Gallagher have fallen behind by releasing rare records, CDs and cassettes just for the event,” a- he declared.

“We’ll have a massive selection of these great records to collect and bring our own musical entertainment in the form of live vinyl DJ sets all day, and live bands and artists in the afternoon.”

Chris explained: “We are very pleased to present live music from two of the best local bands, Ratrace followed by the awesome Tragic and an additional show presented by Lion Eye with their contributions to the Czarface – Czarmageddon album which is out. That day.

“We will strive to make it both a pleasant and safe day for visitors with maximum restriction of customers at peak times and an efficient and friendly team for prompt service when needed. We hope you have a moment to join us for some musical fun on the high street of Northampton,” he said.
