The beloved entertainment store resided at the Lothian Road end of the iconic street and was a favorite for decades before sadly closing.

So there was a lot of anticipation from locals when they found out the old favorite would be returning to a new location.

Almost six years after the closure of their Edinburgh flagship store and 31 years since opening in the city, HMV is back in Edinburgh.

The stunning space now resides on the site of the former Gap building, has three floors, the ground floor is dedicated to film and television, the ground floor to anime and pop culture Japanese and the top floor is dedicated to music.

The shop layout is airy, fresh and airy with different music playing on each floor, giving customers a truly enjoyable browsing experience.
