Bring Me the Horizon has paused recording of their upcoming EP long enough to provide a new instrumental update to the song “Moon Over the Castle” for the upcoming edition of the Gran Turismo series of video games.

The song was originally composed by Masahiro Androh of T-Square and has gone through several revisions over the years for various incarnations of the game franchise. The new version Bring Me the Horizon is attached to Gran Turismo 7which will be released on March 4 this year via PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

To help promote both the song and the game, Columbia Records partnered with Sony Interactive Entertainment to provide a video featuring the Willow Springs course game with the Bring Me the Horizon soundtrack to the song.

In addition to Bring Me the Horizon, the game’s soundtrack is expected to include music from Nothing But Thieves, Major Lazor, London Grammar and more.

Bring Me the Horizon continues to work on the second EP of their Human position series of four EPs. Oli Sykes has revealed he has more emo and shouto influence than his predecessor and he hopes to share a message of self-compassion.

“With this record, I’m going to try to teach people to have compassion for themselves, like someone who hated themselves,” he explained. “It made me sick to hear ‘you gotta love yourself’ – ever. I used to put all my awards in a cupboard, I didn’t look at them. If someone asked me what I was doing, I would never say I belong to a band, I would say I own a clothing company or a restaurant. I just didn’t want to talk about it. Now I love myself. I can look in the mirror and tell me, ‘You’re doing well.’ I can say, ‘I’m a rock star, my band is doing well.’

The band previously rocked the EP with 2021 single, “Die4U.” Although no release date has been announced, keyboardist Jordan Fish has revealed that the band hope to release their next release before their Reading & Leeds festival appearances in August.
